Romantic, clean, historic, silk, food capital, Renaissance, mysterious– are words I use to describe Lyon, France.
My family and I were there mid-September. It reminded me alot of parts of Italy, such as Florence- in a way that made me want to be in Florence badly. The history was very interesting, and the mysterious hidden passageways made you imagine what life was like back when the silk trades and businesses were in full work mode. Its also hard to deny the gorgeous sound of the French language all around you.
